Today was a very long travel day. I left my house around 4 am, and am just now settling in at 11 pm London time. As someone who values the understanding of where I am in my menstrual cycle, there are some important key things to note about traveling. Traveling can disrupt your menstrual cycle, for many reasons. Main ones include a disrupted circadian rhythm due to time changes, stress and a changing routine. In the upcoming days, I will be sure to give myself grace. While traveling, some things I did to help myself out were opting for nuts as my main snacking source (magnesium!!), and getting as many steps in as I could around the airport and plane. I will continue my training as I am traveling, however I also value allowing myself to have a balanced lifestyle. More to come.
