days 28-32

I spent the past few days traveling through Iceland during my ovulatory phase—arguably one of the best times in my cycle to be out exploring. Energy levels are naturally higher right now thanks to a peak in estrogen, which can boost endurance, mood, and overall motivation. I really felt that during this trip.

Most of our days were filled with lots of walking, adventuring, and taking in all the beauty Iceland has to offer. I loved being able to stay active by simply exploring—racking up steps without needing formal workouts. Running and walking felt light and enjoyable, which perfectly matched where my body is hormonally.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was having the option to cook in our Airbnb. I was able to keep my fueling pretty balanced: lots of eggs, fresh vegetables, meat, and some local juices. I kept it simple but focused on getting in enough protein and carbs to support my activity and hormone shifts.

Traveling during this phase worked in my favor—I felt energized, grounded, and connected to my body. It’s a great reminder that you can sync with your cycle no matter where you are in the world. I am now home and entering my luteal phase with intention.
